Manchester United and Lyon had both tracked Colombia worldwide Mina, who signed a five-year deal after Barca sanctioned his £27.2 million sale.

He has played 14 times for Brazil, scoring once, with his last worldwide appearance coming at the 2014 World Cup. "This is why I am here".

On the other hand, Barcelona seem to have established a good relationship with Everton, after Lucas Digne successfully completed a move from the former to the latter.

"The manager made me feel confident about playing here".

The La Liga champions confirmed in a statement: "FC Barcelona and Everton FC have reached an agreement over the transfer of the player Yerry Mina". I believe I will be able to show my best as a player here. Meanwhile Gomes moves on loan for the season for 2.25 million. The club reserves the right to buy back the player. When I found out about this opportunity and what the manager wanted out of me I was happy.

Barcelona confirmed the deal for Gomes that will see Everton pay the Portugal global midfielder's wages for the full season, while also paying a loan fee of £2m (€2.25m).

Bernard joined Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, and has risen throughout his time with the Ukrainian giants.

West Ham and Arsenal were touted with interest in Gomes up until he suffered an injury in pre-season for Barcelona.

Mina has signed on a permanent five-year deal worth €30million (approx £27.2million), while Portugal worldwide Gomes has arrived at Goodison on a one-season loan.

The defender played just six times for Barca since his arrival at the Camp Nou in January, and did not do enough to establish himself as a first-team regular.
