Ramsey has emerged as a top transfer target for the Pensioners as the Welshman is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates and the North Londoners are reportedly ready to cash in on the midfielder, who scored seven goals and provided ten assists in 24 Premier League outings last season.

In the first transfer window since Arsene Wenger left, Arsenal signed goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defenders Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, midfielder Lucas Torreira and forward Matteo Guendouzi.

But new manager Unai Emery considers the Nigeria worldwide an important player in his plans.

"It's always been my childhood dream to represent Arsenal, from young", Iwobi told Arsenal media during his signing presentation.

"To get an extended contract is an unbelievable feeling and I hope I'm doing the Arsenal family proud", Iwobi said.

However, reports suggest Arsenal chiefs are prepared to cash-in on the 27-year-old if he doesn't commit his future to the club before the season starts as they don't want a repeat of last years fiasco involving Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

"I think we are very close to being at 100 per cent. So I'll try and continue making them proud". It's not just myself or my family I'm representing, I also represent the people and the younger generation as well.

"That is part of my work at the moment, but one part", he said.

He spent two years at Arsenal's development centre before signing and moving to Hale End when he was nine.

Despite the enormous pressure following the big money move, Auba showed his class to the Arsenal faithful by scoring an impressive ten goals in 13 appearances.
