United play one more friendly after the conclusion of the ICC, against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena, before they kick-off the new Premier League season at home to Leicester City on August 10.

The Reds have two more games before opening their Premier League campaign against Leicester City.

"My work is on the pitch, not in the office, so the only thing I can do is give my best and try to help Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant adapt as quickly as possible", Herrera said.

Due to the missed transfer targets and players absent because of World Cup involvement, he labeled it a "very bad" pre-season.

Asked if he will know his best starting line-up, even if he is only able to bring one more new face in, Mourinho, speaking to Be:In Sport, said: "More or less, I know".

"I think it's possible I'm going to have one".

It is understood that Mourinho would like to sign a new winger in this transfer window, and his scouting department has suggested that he go after Eintracht Frankfurt star Ante Rebic.

He was more critical of French striker Anthony Martial, who he said should have returned to the U.S. tour after going home to be with his girlfriend when she gave birth to a baby boy in Paris.

Mourinho has called for Ashley Young to return to action despite being on holiday following the World Cup.

Reports reaching home from the USA tour depict players too nervous to talk openly about what they think, with the Daily Telegraph and The Sun claiming those in the squad feel they are "treading on eggshells".

"I agree that when the season starts the transfer window closes", said Mourinho.

The 55-year-old manager took a dig at the transfer board as well as his players' performances in MI on Saturday and stated in a press conference, "The atmosphere was good but if I was them I wouldn't have come, I wouldn't have spent my money to watch these two teams".

However, the England global left-back - who earns £70,000 per week as salary, according to The Express - has suggested that he wants to carry on playing for United and wants to earn a new contract with the Red Devils.

Jose Mourinho's side won their first ICC match 9-8 on penalties following a 1-1 draw with AC Milan in California, before they fell to Premier League rivals Liverpool 4-1 in Ann Arbor.
