Rock, who is taking part in Miami in the IAPA's digital conference SipConnect 2018, said, "President Trump has little tolerance and he is annoyed by journalist questioning which he tends to describe as false news and he scorns".

Reflecting the unease among USA lawmakers, House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday that Putin would not be invited to address Congress or visit the Capitol if he accepted Trump's invitation. Earlier, the White House said Trump would postpone his invitation for Putin to visit until next year because it believed Mueller's "witch hunt" would be over by then.

He added that he would consider a visit to Washington but noted there must be "necessary conditions", without further explanation.

The Hill reports that while Russians oppose this proposal and other aspects of Putin's domestic policies, he has received mostly positive reactions to his performance at the recent Helsinki summit he held with President Donald Trump.

In the earlier meeting, Ms. Collins asked the president questions about hot-topic news stories, a standard move for pool reporters, who are assigned in limited-capacity events to represent all journalists covering the White House.

The first summit between Putin and Trump took place this month in Helsinki.

In the final entry of a three-tweet series, the president said: "I did not know of the meeting with my son, Don Jr".

Shine subsequently "disinvited" that reporter from the pop-up presser later in the day in the Rose Garden, presumably in retaliation for the reporter asking uncomfortable questions.

He was referring to the federal investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election and whether Trump's campaign assisted or was aware of the efforts.

Visitors to the Colorado state capitol building can wander down a hall and gaze at portraits of the presidents of the United States. "If so, people would be trying to put resources behind it", said Thompson, noting that earlier this year the White House eliminated the post of cybersecurity coordinator. "But I'm very confident that whether it be with that network or any network or any members of the media, that we'll continue to work in a way that ensures the access of the American people to this administration".
