Newcastle United have struck a deal on Japan worldwide striker Yoshinori Muto's transfer from Mainz, the English Premier League club announced Friday.

The 23-year-old, who represented his nation in the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer, spent a fruitful loan spell there at the tailend of last season, scoring 12 goals in just 17 games as they earned promotion via the playoffs.

According to Goal, the deal is worth £9.5 million. I'm happy to the moon and back.

"I have love for the fans".

A loan may suit the Toon's needs while one of their players is injured, but this stance is not going to get them anywhere - and they must cough up or face losing out on him for good.

'This is a big club and past year we made history, we did big things, and I want to continue this. We did big things and I want to continue this.

The 23-year-old, who joined Newcastle from Anderlecht in 2015 for £14.5m, has signed a five-year deal until 2023.

In three seasons in Germany he has scored 20 Bundesliga goals in 66 appearances, in addition to making two appearances in the Europa League during Mainz's campaign two years ago.

"The 23-year-old striker proved to be the ideal fit for Fulham, scoring 12 times in just 17 starts to help the team reach Wembley".

Aleksandar Mitrovic's January arrival at Fulham proved a significant boost in his side's race for promotion.
