Manchester United are refusing to do business with a Premier League rival, even if they are prepared to go above and beyond the £70m price tag United have slapped on the France worldwide.

Manchester United are showing a keen interest in signing Harry Maguire and are ready to test Leicester City's resolve with a £65m bid this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Woodward is understood to want to keep Martial and will trigger the striker's one-year extension clause, to protect United's financial investment in him, if they do not receive the fee they want.

Asked at the Levi's Stadium, after watching his side draw 0-0 with San Jose Earthquakes, whether there will be more signings, Mourinho told a news conference, via ESPN: "One thing is what I want and another thing is what is going to happen".

He added: "I would like to be in Los Angeles now and I am in San Jose, you can not do whatever you want in life".

"Leicester have been unbelievable to me and I'm really happy there but I'm also an ambitious player and everyone wants to play at the top".

United are set to use the time they have left before August 9's transfer deadline to find a replacement for Martial.

Maguire was signed for £17m from Hull City past year but his value has rocketed after his stellar performances at the World Cup.

Manchester United fans probably aren't too positive about the Premier League season ahead but their could be some good news for them as odds on a new signing have dramatically dropped.

England manager Gareth Southgate is known to have first selected Maguire because of his mental toughness, so he is tailor-made for the constant big-match pressures at United.
