Maurizio Sarri was unable to give guarantees over the futures of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois amid speculation the Belgian pair could leave Chelsea this summer.

Zola, who spent seven years at Chelsea from 1996 until 2003 and scored 69 goals, is hugely popular at Stamford Bridge and will become Sarri's No 2. "I don't want to talk about the transfer market and I'm not that interested in it".

Both Hazard and Courtois have been linked with summer moves to Spanish giants Real Madrid, with the latter entering the final year of his contract with the west London club. "I hope the quality of the players will allow me to have the results". This meant that the West London club is now ineligible to play in the Champions League next term and will face a hard summer in trying to keep hold of their star players.

Maurizio Sarri has finally be unveiled as the new Chelsea head coach as he spoke to the media for the first time following his appointment.

'This is post a World Cup so many [players] have to come back will take time to build different way of playing [but] all good things of Antonio must be left and not changed.

The one hesitation I have for this deal happening is not only the money that it will cost to sign one player, but the incredibly high expectation placed on Eden Hazard.

He said: "I don't think I will be calling them".

Despite having won no silverware Sarri was named Serie A coach for the 2016/17 season and has praised Conte for what he had achieved in his two year spell at the club.

"After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different", Hazard said. Russian billionaire Abramovich has been in dispute with United Kingdom authorities over the lack of a visa renewal.

"I hope this initial time can be shortened". "This is what any manager wants to do, this is what any club wants to do", said Sarri, but then we will have to see how the transfer market will go over the next few days". I think he one of the top one or two European players.

'For me it is an unbelievable thing, ' Zola told Chelsea's official website.
