Morgan finds bilateral ODI series not interesting

Kuldeep had ripped through England in the first match at Trent Bridge on Thursday, taking six for 25 in India's win, and although he picked up another three wickets at Lord's on Saturday, England played much more positively against him, taking him for nearly seven an over in their 86-run victory.

England served notice of their World Cup-winning credentials by crushing India in the third one-day worldwide to take the series 2-1. The hosts clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1 for their first series win over India in seven years. "But certainly he (Kuldeep) extracted more turn than any other spinner", he said.

What will England take from this series?

England's white-ball specialist took three wickets, including the vital one of Virat Kohli with a delivery that he will treasure for decades. "Kuldeep's young, he's a lot of learning to still do, he's done well in the shorter formats of the game, so let's not put that pressure on him to perform at the test level". However, he was left bewildered by a wonderful Rashid leg-break that pitched on leg stump and hit the top of off.

To prove his point, Shivlkar - who has played only unofficial "Tests" for the country - cited the example of English skipper Eoin Morgan, who was one of Kuldeep's victim in the second ODI at Lords.

India made light work of the chase as Rohit Sharma (137 not out) and Virat Kohli (75) eased the visitors past England's total with nearly 10 overs to spare.

This is the first time in 200 ODI innings and 112 Test nnings that Kohli was bowled by a leg spinner. James Vince on his return to England colours settled easily, produced some graceful strokes and was then run out for an infuriating 27. The chinaman bowler's first spell read 4-0-23-0 before he finished wicketless, going for 55 runs in 10 overs.

"He continually gets key batsmen out at key times".

"We started better against him", Morgan, the England captain, said. England had recognized a problem and resolved it, which is what good sides do. Kuldeep was outstanding. To give away 25 runs and pick up six wickets on that kind of a wicket, I don't think I have seen a better spell of bowling in ODIs of late.

"Luckily, over the past year we've managed these situations really well".

England got to a flying start, courtesy Jonny Bairstow's 30 off 13 balls. Given circumstances, conditions - Kuldeep (Yadav) might bowl really well.

"In Cardiff, there was a bit of grass on the wicket and it was good for batting". Judging by his exploits on the last two tours to Sri Lanka and South Africa, Kumar is a huge miss for India in this ODI series and there is no official word on his fitness or availability yet. Trent Bridge, we were off the mark, and India punished us.
