George Clooney was injured in a road accident in Italy today when his scooter collided with a vehicle. Clooney, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his scooter and flew 20 feet in the air.

Imagine getting into a auto accident and realizing the person operating the other vehicle was the generous and handsome George Clooney. A health official confirmed that he was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were "not serious".

Clooney is a Northern Kentucky native. A photo of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon with a smashed windshield and a nearby scooter would seem to suggest that Clooney hit the windshield in the impact.

George might be the last person you want to hit with your vehicle. "He is recovering at home and will be fine", a source told the Daily Mail.

The driver of the vehicle did stop to call for an ambulance, which took the 57-year-old to the nearest hospital, Today reports. "It turns out he had a scooter accident with only minor injuries", while another added: "George Clooney should not be tampered with 2018!"

At the work front, George Clooney will be seen in the Hulu series Catch-22, for which he is now shooting.

Pictures from George Clooney's motorcycle crash have emerged, showing the dramatic scene in Sardinia.

It's not just the Clooneys spending the summer in Italy, George's parents and Amal's mum were also seen arriving on separate flights.

Clooney, 57, plays US Air Force commander Scheisskopf in the World War Two Channel 4 drama, based on Joseph Heller's classic novel.
