Giuliani: No Mueller-Trump Interview Without FBI Informant Documents

President Donald Trump on Tuesday ramped up his assaults on particular counsel Robert Mueller's crew in a sequence of tweets, accusing them of meddling with the upcoming midterm election. A year into his investigation, Mueller's team has indicted four Trump associates, three of whom have pleaded guilty to lying to officers during the investigation.

The FBI acted properly in its investigation of contacts between President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and Russian Federation, according to Gowdy, who recently received a classified briefing about the origins of the FBI probe.

He also declared Democrats are providing Trump and his allies with the "material" to undermine the Mueller probe - and warned it'll backfire in the midterm elections.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller departs after briefing members of the U.S. Senate on his investigation of potential collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., June 21, 2017.

Minutes later, he added: "Why aren't the 13 Angry and heavily conflicted Democrats investigating the totally Crooked Campaign of totally Crooked Hillary Clinton".

"Who's going to give back the young and attractive lives (and others) that have been devastated and destroyed by the phony Russia Collusion Witch Hunt?"

During the campaign, Trump claimed she should have been prosecuted harshly for lax security in her government email practices when she was secretary of state.

Trump is now claiming that the Federal Bureau of Investigation went easy on Clinton and that some people involved in making that decision are working against him in the Mueller probe. Because a little later on Tuesday morning, Trump followed his "meddling" tweet with one where he apologized - perhaps to his base - for "focusing his energy" on the Mueller probe when there is so much work to be done.

Trump has repeatedly attacked the Mueller investigation that was meant to be an independent probe aimed at getting to the bottom of Russia's efforts to interfere in the 2016 election.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson said in an order Tuesday that she had privately reviewed the two affidavits in question and agreed with Mueller's team that they didn't have to reveal the un-redacted information to Manafort's lawyers.

Giuliani has previously said that Trump has done nothing improper and is eager to talk to Mueller. This also allows Mr. Mueller to continue in his position as special counsel at taxpayer expense.

The top USA diplomat told a congressional hearing that the Trump administration would take "appropriate countermeasures" against any Russian interference in the congressional elections, but acknowledged officials have yet to figure out what "effective deterrence" might work. "They went back home in tatters!"

"There's no evidence to support that spy theory", Schiff said.
