An official website popped up early this morning with little more than a title and a date of "2021". Besides the number and moniker, nothing else has been announced yet.

"Today 15.05.2018. I officially declare: GSC GAME WORLD DEVELOPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2", reads Grygorovych's post, followed by a link to the promotional website for the game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been revealed and is now set to launch in 2021.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is uncompromising Ukrainian FPS survival horror series set under the shadow of the Chernobyl incident.

Stalker 2 was originally revealed back in 2010, but it didn't get very far before everything-the game and the studio-fell apart. They hinted many times about a sequel, and even tried again with a Kickstarter campaign four years later, but that didn't work out either, so the studio and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 disappeared.

As for the game engine, nothing has surfaced yet. The site shows a dark concrete background with "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2" and "2.0.2.1." written on it. This means that the game probably wont be out for another few years.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was then cancelled, and GSC scattered to the radiation-poisoned winds.
