Trump Calls Jerusalem Factual Israel Capital, Netanyahu Says 'We'll Stay Here'

A key constituent of U.S. President Donald Trump, American Evangelical Christian leaders praised the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem on Monday and the American leader for keeping his promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In addition to his remarks on Jews, Jeffress has referred to both Mormonism and Islam as "a heresy from the pit of Hell". In 2010, he said that Judaism, along with Mormonism, Islam and Hinduism were religions, quote, "that lead people to an eternity of separation from God in hell".

Israel considers Jerusalem its capital, including the eastern part of the city, seized from Jordan during the Six-Day War in 1967. And that's not the message that I think many people associate with Pastor Jeffress.

In the past few years he implied that secular women behave like animals due to their immodest dress and claimed 2016 that according to Jewish law, non-Jews were forbidden from living in Israel.

Jeffress has also strongly criticized the Roman Catholic Church. It was the deadliest day there since a devastating 2014 cross-border war and cast a shadow over Israel's festive inauguration of the new U.S. Embassy in contested Jerusalem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it "the right thing to do".

During the campaign, audio from one of Hagee's sermons in the 1990s was leaked that seemed to suggest that Adolf Hitler had been fulfilling God's will by aiding the desire of Jews to return to Israel in accordance with biblical prophecy.

"You know Jesus was very clear: Hell is not only going to be populated by murderers, and drug dealers, and child abusers; Hell is going to be filled with good religious people who have rejected the truth of Christ".

"For some, according to one Brookings Institute fellow, he says this is simply just pouring gasoline onto an already burning fire", he said.

When Romney was running for president in 2012, Jeffress told Christians they shouldn't vote for him because he is Mormon.

Jeffress spoke with Fox News Radio about his participation in the embassy opening.

President Donald Trump decided previous year to move the new US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Hagee also has said that "to assert that I in any way condone the Holocaust or that monster Adolf Hitler is the biggest and ugliest of lies".

"Israel represents many ideals in the Middle East that Christians hold dear and moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem is much more than a political move, it is about giving Israel the respect it deserves as a nation that is dedicated to democratic ideals", Nance said.
