Few showers, a rumble or two on this Mother's Day

Showers and storms will taper off soon after the sunrise, and the warmth will build back in for Monday. In the meantime, we will remain very dry and crisp through this evening, with lows in the 60s.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Monday there is a chance for a few showers and storms, especially by late afternoon. We will have a line of strong to severe thunderstorms moving through during the afternoon. There is a 20 percent chance of rain. Northeast wind 8 to 13 miles per hour. High pressure finally settles into place Tuesday night, leaving us drier and sunnier come Wednesday. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will develop around 5 p.m. but the worst looks like it will stay south of the lower Hudson Valley.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be on and off through the end of the week. But that just means highs mainly in the 60s. Northeast wind 6 to 8 miles per hour.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with storms in the evening/overnight. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75.


Thu: High: 86 Low: 63 Mostly sunny.

With heavy rain chances, there is the potential for flooding.

The best chance for rain is late Friday night into Saturday. Wednesday and Thursday seem to be the two days where we will see more widespread coverage of these storms, but they won't be a washout entirely.

WEST MICHIGAN -We will have rain showers and storms moving out of West Michigan leaving us with mostly to partly cloudy sky.
