Square Enix E3 Showcase Announced

Square Enix has been absent from E3 the past couple of years, but this year they'll be back, and it looks like they're taking a page out of Nintendo's book.

No games have been confirmed as of yet for the event, which will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch and Mixer, but we can always speculate.

Square Enix will be joining in on the E3 hype this year with a press conference, this time following Nintendo's approach of a pre-recorded livestream as opposed to a live show.

This website and the respective streaming platforms will be the exclusive ways to watch this showcase. Square Enix's E3 showcase will be live-streamed to the public Monday, June 11th, 1:00 PM EST.

After having a pause of 2 years, Square Enix has decided to make an appearance on the largest annual gaming convention, E3.

What we won't see is the Hitman series, which was given to developer IO Interactive after it split with Square Enix. Not many details are available - the publisher simply says it is a special video presentation.

With the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider later this year, fans should expect the focus to be on 2018 titles. Below are the standouts from Square Enix's sale, but you can find the full list here. Though we do know Square Enix wants to "surpass the original" with Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
