Iran has refused to renegotiate the terms of the nuclear deal

There is a reason that Prime Minister Netanyahu waited until twelve days before the Iran nuclear agreement was to be upheld to give his presentation. "Don't do it", say former secretaries of state and secretaries of defense from both Republican and Democratic administrations.

"A government can not go to war, no matter what the law says, without a national consensus", said Shlomo Avineri, professor emeritus of political science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

"Right here. Few Iranians knew where it was, very few, and also a few Israelis", Netanyahu said.

Nevertheless, he stated, the evidence indicated that Iran could not immediately reconstitute its nuclear program: "It just shows that Iran kept the cookbook, the recipe for the program".

The deal's critics are unmoved, and they are pushing for what they consider a long-overdue confrontation with Tehran. All parties agree that if Trump disrupts this accord, even more havoc will break loose in that volatile region. "Israel did not join in this action", he added. But the three warmongers, named above, are driving USA foreign policy in the Middle East.

Listening to the Prime Minister, it was hard to suppress a sigh. Otherwise, we will have situation like the one in North Korea.

As Iran and Israel square off in Syria, things could get even more risky.

So who is the aggressor here?

Israel maintains a formal policy of nonintervention in Syria's internal affairs, however, this applies to all cases excluding incidents deemed linked to Iran's entrenchment in Syria or those acting against Israel and its territory. Iraq's dictator invaded Iran in 1980, with USA backing, costing Iran an estimated 500,000 lives. Although the attacks were not as severe as anticipated by many observers, they were sufficient to reinforce Iran's resolve to not negotiate with the West over its missile capabilities.

The ambassador was showcasing the theft of old Iranian documents from an Israeli nighttime raid on an Iranian warehouse. "But at the same time, there was also new information".

Iran also agreed to have the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency conduct full scale, regular inspections of its national nuclear facilities.

Iran, for its part, says the pact is not open for renegotiation, and that it will walk away from it if Trump does. They have constantly talked about developing a civilian nuclear program, but from the beginning this was not the objective.

Zarif likened attempts to renegotiate the nuclear deal to reneging on a real estate agreement. Chicken and egg: It is anyone's guess whether the press conference that Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu staged this week was his own idea or Trump's; either way, Netanyahu promoted Trumpagenda as much as his own.

In 2017, it was estimated that Israel possessed 80 nuclear warheads.

USA and Israeli warmongers and their supporters amongst the capitalist media continually try to turn reality upside down. Iran is explicitly sworn to Israel's destruction. Trump's war hawk in the White House, John Bolton, wants to go further.

As if being a nuclear aggressor was not sufficient, the state of Israel itself is an apartheid state, reserved for Jewish people and none other.

In fact, that's the one thing they've been perfectly transparent about. Please donate or subscribe to help fund independent journalism for the Iranian Diaspora.
