Sadly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. The Mi 6X, likewise, may end up becoming the Mi A2 for all we know. The three mid-range smartphones we are going to compare now are Xiaomi's Mi 7 and Mi Mix 2 and Motorola's Moto X4.

The mobile accompanies LPDDR4X RAM with 4GB and 6GB variations.

Coming to the internals, the Mi 6X is powered by Qualcomm's latest octa-core Snapdragon 660 chips and comes with either 4GB as well 6GB LP DDR 4X RAM. All versions of the Mi 6X will support expandable storage.

The display on Xiaomi Mi 6X is a 5.99-inch panel with FullHD+ resolution (2160x1080 pixels). As said earlier, the rear camera on Mi 6X comes with a variety of AI-based features.

On the camera front, the device features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary lens with f/1.75 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size, Sony IMX486 sensor along with a secondary 20-megapixel with f/1.75 aperture and 2-micron pixel size, Sony IMX376 sensor. With AI onboard, the Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture can capture incredible selfie shots by identifying 12 kinds of self-portrait scenes. The rear camera setup is accompanied by phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. The SoC has Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE) onboard for managing AI tasks. The device seem to come up with MIUI skin and not with Android one support just like what we see in India. It does come with fast charging with support for Quick Charge 3.0 which is claimed to charge up to 50 per cent in 30 minutes. Unlike the Redmi Note 5 Pro that has plastic on top and bottom, the Mi 6X has a unibody metal design.

- In terms of design, as mentioned earlier, the Mi 6X looks a lot like the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi 5X had a baby. However, the Redmi Note 5 is a better option for those looking for a budget smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched in India past year at Rs 14,999.

So if you are interested to get your hands on the Redmi Note 5, don't miss the sale tonight. There's a fingerprint reader on the back beneath the camera and a face unlock feature available too. The device comes with USB Type-C port. The handset can be bought in colors like Cherry Pink, Red Flame, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue and Black. That's the most for any Xiaomi phone to date. It was the first device from the stable of Xiaomi to run stock Google Android instead of the Mi user interface, which has been part of all other Xiaomi devices.

The phone sports a thin-bezel front screen with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display.
