Last night in downtown Houston, a woman pulled up to a carwash and began revving her engine. Her children are now with relatives.

Even a Texas mother who tried to burn her children alive educated him beforehand "they went to see Jesus", police say.

Segovia's daughters, ages 9, 11, and 13, were inside and the mother was heard saying in Spanish, "We're going to see Jesus", ABC 13reported.

Police said witnesses intervened, prompting the woman to flee on foot with the three young girls. According to deputies, she tripped and fell and ran briefly before the deputy constable took her into custody. She was eventually captured and taken into custody by Harris County Pct. "When they approached the vehicle, they heard the female say something to the effect of 'we're going to see Jesus, '" said HPD Lt. Larry Crowson.

Police did not say where the children have been placed after their experience.

Meanwhile, Segovia is facing three counts of aggravated assault of a family member.

The Houston Fire Department arson unit is conducting an investigation on West Orem Drive near Quention Drive in southwest Houston. A mental health evaluation for Segovia has been ordered, KTRK-TV reported.
