Sean Hannity Revealed as Michael Cohen's Third Client

The conservative host was named as a client of Cohen's after an Federal Bureau of Investigation raid of the lawyer's office found documents with his name on.

"Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter", Hannity said in an e-mailed statement provided to Reuters. "This is officially an all-hands-on-deck effort to totally malign, and if possible, impeach the president of the United States".

Though Hannity did not disclose his relationship with Cohen, the Fox host "seems to get away with whatever he wants", said Calderone. His show is seen by the network as an opinion show, but many get their news from it and other shows on the network.

"Now understand", Hannity continued, "Cohen was never part of the Trump administration, or the Trump campaign".

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano, a former judge, isn't buying it. They discuss ideas for Hannity's show, Trump's frustration with the ongoing special counsel probe and even, at times, what the president should tweet, according to people familiar with the conversations.

Cohen's previous work included arranging a $130,000 payment to prevent porn star Stormy Daniels from talking publicly about her alleged affair with Trump. Another was Elliot Broidy, a Trump fundraiser who resigned from the Republican National Committee on Friday after it was revealed that he paid a Playboy Playmate with whom he had an extramarital affair. "I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective".

"Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter".

So what it looks like, of course, is that Cohen could have similarly helped Hannity silence a woman who might have told an embarrassing story. "I assumed those conversations were confidential, but to be absolutely clear they never involved any matter between me and a third-party". Only yesterday did the public learn of a secret tie between Hannity and Cohen - Hannity had been Cohen's legal client. "He was, like, "All my questions to Michael Cohen were exclusively nearly real estate.'". Hannity is apparently "atop the call list" most of the time. In addition to sharing a lawyer, and what appears to be a close personal friendship, Trump uses Hannity as a sounding board for ideas, a litmus test for what his base thinks, and a de-facto adviser, sources told The Washington Post. One of the reasons we are so incapable as a nation today of thinking straight about major issues is the misinformation some cable TV hosts peddle every night.
