Beyonce is reportedly set to reunite with her Destiny's Child bandmates for her highly-anticipated Coachella set.

She also thanked Coachella for allowing her be the first black woman to ever headline the California music festival. Queen Bey started with nothing less than a royal entrance, with a fierce female drummer doing the roll before she appears in her majorette outfit and sashays down the runway with her glistening cape. She then burst into her energetic set with "Crazy in Love", followed by her hits "Freedom", "Formation", among others.

Bey had been hyping up her performance all week, writing on Facebook, "I am so excited to see the BeyHive tonight at Coachella".

"4 days until Coachella!" she wrote on March 2.

Later on, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams accompanied Beyonce and crooned their popular tracks from 90s which included Say My Name, Soldier and Lose My Breath. She had been scheduled to headline last year's festival, but had to postpone because of her pregnancy.

Beyonce has been preparing for Coachella with a prolonged vegan cleanse, which she has invited fans to join in on her Instagram account.

The trio last performed together at the Superbowl half-time show in 2013.

As expected, Beyoncé's set was electrifying and filled with odes to various aspects of black music, history and culture.

This time, it's the turn of one of her all time idols, Beyoncé. "I hope y'all enjoyed the show".
