Latest Moto G6 leaks spill specs and a possible May launch date

The Moto G6 will sport a 5.7-inch full HD display with a Snapdragon 450 CPU with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, while the Moto G6 Plus upgrades to a Snapdragon 630 CPU, a slightly larger 5.93-inch full HD display, and 6GB of RAM. There's also a microSD card slot to hold up to 128GB of extra storage. Ahead of the launch, full specs and prices of both the G6 series phones have been leaked online. The Moto G6 Play comes down to about $199 with a listed move date of May 17.

The Moto G6 Plus wasn't listed. Talking about the pricing first, the listing reveals that both the Moto G6 and G6 Play are going to be budget segment phones. For example, the standard Moto G6 will arrive with a dual rear camera setup, compared to the G6 Play which will only be equipped with a single rear camera.

A noticeable thing in these colorful posters is the absence of the fingerprint sensor at the front. In addition, the e-commerce listing also revealed the complete specs details of both the Moto G6 series phones. At the back, it gets a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie shooter with LED flash. The Moto G6, much like the most of the new Motorola phones will run near stock Android out-of-the-box. The face unlock feature will also let users access websites protected with passwords on their laptops using a feature called Moto Key. The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 3000mAh battery which will come with support for TurboPower fast charging.

As a $50 price difference might suggest, these two phones are expected to be more similar than different overall, although there will be a number of fundamental differences between them.

The page also notes a Snapdragon 1.8GHz octa-core processor for the G6 but doesn't say which specific chipset will be included.

In the third image, Moto G6 Plus is shown to have special camera feature that allows the user to change the background of the photo while keeping the subject in the same place. Its 16 GB and 32 GB storage models include 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM.

The rear dual-camera are made off a 12 MP and a 5 MP and a frontal camera of 16 MP. Its 32 GB and 64 GB storage models are respectively packed with 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. It has a bigger battery that Moto G6 which is of 4000mAh. The shipping of this phone is expected to be around mid-May.
