Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today announced it is bringing same-day, in-person authorized service to Galaxy phone owners nationwide.

Samsung Electronics announced an agreement with the U.S. chain uBreakiFix to provide same-day repairs service for customers of its flagship smartphones.

The authorized uBreakiFix stores, which are located in all major United States metro areas, will offer front and back screen replacements, battery replacements, port and camera repairs and other in- and out-of-warranty services for phones ranging from the Samsung Galaxy S6 to the S9, as well as the Note 5 and Note 8.

Authorized uBreakiFix service locations are present in all major metro areas in the country.

As noted above, you can have your device fixed at any of the 300 already-existent uBreakiFix locations, with Samsung planning to help build 200 additional ones by the end of the year.

Certain Best Buy stores already offer official Samsung same-day repairs, but few stores participate; none in the state of NY offer repairs. One of the reasons why Apple users tend to hold on to their products is the assurance of prompt support. Apple customers can walk into any Apple store and get their smartphone fixed in no time. Samsung says "most repairs" will be completed in two hours or less.

Samsung Premium Care comes for free the first month that you own your new Samsung phone, but after that, it comes in at a price that's not too far off the cost of Netflix each month.
