Air Canada is also increasing the frequency of its flights from Calgary to Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Phoenix, and from Vancouver to Phoenix and Palm Springs. According to flight-tracking website FlightAware.com, Air Canada was experiencing almost 170 total flight delays as of Monday afternoon.

"The computer and telecommunications issues affecting our operations have been resolved and we apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused", Air Canada president Ben Smith said in a statement issued Monday afternoon.

All flights are now available for purchase via the Air Canada app, at aircanada.com and through travel agents. "Thank you for your patience".

The Canadian carrier advised in a tweet that airport systems, check-in and customer call centres were all back online.

Others were slightly delayed and the airport referred travellers needing immediate assistance to contact Air Canada at 1-905-671-7769 or through the Air Canada Jazz website, flyjazz.ca.

Although the technical issues that plagued Air Canada passengers (during March Break, no less) all have been resolved, some travelers are still experiencing significant delays.
