The Algerian worldwide subsequently skipped training, effectively going on strike in protest at what he considered to be Leicester denying him a dream move he has been promised for several transfer windows. If we start talking about this it's like coming back to the transfer window and now I'm moving forward, trying to give my best for the team. So my mind and my focus is on Leicester.

Mahrez said: "I'm not saying I'm going to leave, I'm not saying I'm going to go". Everything is very good.

Leicester City have confirmed Riyad Mahrez's Facebook account was hacked after a post emerged announcing his retirement.

Leicester's Riyad Mahrez is reportedly edging closer to a summer exit after Roma open negotiations to bring the winger to the Serie A next season.

He added: "I was away from here because I needed some time to think". "We had some discussions and we moved on".

"It was hard, I've always been in contact with the club".

The Italian newspaper state his performances will have "negatively impacted" his value, although we're not too sure about that, and that, with three years left on his contract, Leicester won't be in a position to ask for the same amount of money they did in the summer.

On Saturday, Mahrez scored a superb free-kick deep into stoppage time to earn Leicester a 1-1 home draw with Bournemouth.

"It was hard, but I spoke with the players, I spoke with the manager, I spoke with everyone and everyone was OK, everyone was good", he said. The club handled it very well.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Mahrez is keen on forcing through a move to Roma this summer, but it is thought that the two clubs are yet to agree a deal for the 27-year-old.

When I saw that at first I wasn't bothering because some people have nothing more to do with their life.

Mahrez has also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal.

"It won't affect me so I don't know why they tried to do that".
