Why they should fight: Edgar's decision-making backfired when he not only lost to Brian Ortega by first-round knockout, but lost a guaranteed UFC featherweight title shot in the process. Ortega became the first man to ever finish Frankie Edgar, who is now out of the title picture. Check out the replay here.

What are your thoughts on White saying that he'll book Holloway vs. Ortega for the featherweight title as soon as "The Blessed One" is healed from injury?

Barring a couple of clinches, "T-City" didn't utilise his grappling whatsoever against Edgar in what was a back-and-forth first round but he did show off vastly improved striking by overwhelming his opponent with 30 seconds to go in the opening frame.

After 2017 defeats to Cody Garbrandt and Joanna Jędrzejczyk, there are now no undefeated UFC champions but Brian Ortega hopes to change that this year.

Much like Edgar's fight with Yair Rodriguez a year ago at UFC 211, this is a potential changing of the guard, as the veteran standout once again lines up opposite a surging youngster looking to take the next step in his progression.

"I am waiting for Amanda now", Cyborg said of her fellow Brazilian.

"Now she's the champion at 135, she's calling me out, OK, let's do this fight. I just think about what I'm going to do to her". "And yeah, I could fight her in July".

"I think if it was real, Dana would've called me personally", he added.

Following the fight, Conor McGregor posted on his Twitter account. I've always seen it.

Instead of attacking O'Malley's obviously damaged leg in the final round, Soukhamthath chose to take the fight to the ground, and it very likely cost him the win.

Elsewhere on the show, longtime UFC veteran heavyweights squared off in #10 Stefan Struve and #12 Andrei Arlovski.

#6 Ketlen Vieira earned one of the biggest wins of her career in defeating former UFC title challenger and #6-ranked Cat Zingano.
