Rapper Rick Ross is on life support in a Miami hospital after being found unresponsive, TMZ reports.

Rick Ross reportedly went to the hospital by ambulance and is being treated for respiratory issues, possibly caused by pneumonia.

Someone from the home called 911 at 3:30 AM Thursday and said the person in distress was breathing heavy and unresponsive.

Likewise, the entertainment source notes that Rick is in the cardiac unit of the hospital, suggesting that it's possible he suffered a heart attack.

Fat Trel, a fellow rapper and close friend, confirmed that Ross was in a hospital, saying he was doing "good", but "is not on life support", BET reported.

According to TMZ's most recent update, Ross' family have denied claims he is on life support, but his condition remains unknown.

TMZ reports doctors have put him on something called ECMO, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.

Back in November 2011, Rick Ross talked about suffering a seizure aboard a private jet. He blamed the episode on sleep deprivation, but shortly after he began making drastic changes to his lifestyle and diet. It still spoke volumes though as Instagrammers started commenting to say how wrong he was to kick Ross while he was down. ABC reports that he had lost over 100 pounds at one point.

Business mogul, Sean Combs popularly known as Diddy also took to Instagram to solicit for prayers for Rick Ross.
