UP Investors Summit 2018: An Initiative to Make UP Investor Friendly

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day "UP Investors Summit"-the first such event by the Yogi Adityanath government".

Yogi-led-Uttar Pradesh government has formulated industrial policy to create a center of attention for investment in the largest state of India after reviewing policies of various states.

The state government has taken initiatives to push ease of doing business to attract investment in Uttar Pradesh and making it an ideal destination for investment.

"I have come to Lucknow to assure the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister that Jio's Digital Revolution is here to make the maximum contribution to UP's development revolution", he added.

PM also heaped praises on Uttar Pradesh by mentioning all the resources that the state has and their maximum utilisation.

"Tourism is a multiplier for growth".

Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman, Aditya Birla Group, said Uttar Pradesh was an unsaturated land of opportunities. The Prime Minister highlighted the vibrancy and eye to detail of the Industrial policy introduced by the BJP government in the state. In addition, airports in 11 other cities of the state were being developed to give a boost to regional connectivity, he said.

Promising to stand with the leadership in transforming the state, Gautam Adani of the Adani Group committed an aggregate investment of Rs 35,000 crores in UP.

Mukesh Ambani also raised the point of Namami Gange Project and also confirmed the key role of Reliance foundations in the project.

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said this during his address at UP Investors Summit being held in Lucknow from today.

"Jio has invested Rs 20,000 crore already in the state, and plans to invest another Rs 10,000 crore over the next three years. The development story of the country can not be written without the state", he added.
