A U.S. Postal Service worker was found fatally shot inside a mail truck along a busy highway in Dallas on Monday, and investigators are treating the case as a homicide, according to police.

The Dallas Police Department and the United States Postal Inspection Service are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Detective Walton at 214-671-3632 or 214-701-8453. "And I think that's what's going to help heal his children and his brother and his sister is bringing this person to justice", Sylvia Mosby, his sister-in-law, told FOX 4.

Mosby was killed by shots fired into his vehicle, authorities said. Police said the truck crashed into a guardrail after the shooting.

Police say Mosby was shot about 2:20 a.m. while driving a mail truck on I-30 near downtown. Through their initial investigation, detectives have learned that the location is about a mile from where a Dallas police squad auto was sacked upon February 8.

The suspect, when caught, will possibly face federal charges, officials said.
