Announcements regarding the party flag and the ideology would be unveiled in Madurai.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to attend the launch event.

Besides Kejriwal, Haasan has also met the Chief Ministers of Kerala and West Bengal, Pinarayi Vijayan and Mamata Banerjee, respectively, DMK President M Karunanidhi and "superstar" Rajinikanth ahead of his political foray.

Addressing the press here, Haasan said, "Tomorrow I will launch my political party but before that in the morning I will visit Rameswaram". "DMK has been promoting family members of partymen at all levels But, a new person, who has become a member and works sincerely may feel left out".

Ever since the demise of Tamil Nadu's former CM J Jayalalithaa, Haasan has been vocal about the government. "It (Dravidian) is our identity, and it will give the southern states a leverage with the Centre", the actor had said.

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan will begin writing his political script from tomorrow.

"I am going to explain (about my) new party and the gist of our policies. Welcome to New Age (sic)".

It remains to be seen whether the two actors, who collectively have a fan following that is arguably larger than any other Indian film personality, will ultimately join forces to break the existing power arithmetic of Tamil Nadu which has seen its government alternating between the DMK and AIADMK for almost three decades. The actor, who made his cinematic debut in 1960 as a child artiste, will officially take the plunge into politics today. "The political arena is watching how much distance a bird can fly on its own strength", he had stated. This is because Rajini himself had revealed to his supporters a few weeks ago that he too would be entering politics for the sake of people of Tamil Nadu.
