Idea prepaid plan 109 is listed on the Idea official website and My Idea Application.

Catching up in the tariff plan race, Vodafone today announced a new prepaid plan which counters the recent plan revisions by Airtel and Idea Cellular. The revised plans are offering unlimited data calling with 28 GB data, which will be divided into 1 GB data\per day.

Talking about the benefits, the Rs 158 tariff plan provides unlimited voice calls including roaming calls and 1GB data per day, which makes it 28GB data.

Idea is still short of Reliance Jio, and Bharti Airtel as both the telcos are offering benefits for 28 days.

This updated 149 and 109 plan is valid for the Himachal Pradesh circle. Similarly, the Airtel 93 Plan also offers the same benefits but with daily and weekly calling limits. The cheapest prepaid plan customers can avail is Rs 199, which gives unlimited local and STD calls, free roaming, 1.4GB 4G/3G data per day and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

As India's older carriers slammed the telecom regulator for its regulations over the last 12-18 months which allegedly favour only new entrant Reliance Jio, the Mukesh Ambani-led telco called the "campaign" run by the incumbent operators as malicious, misleading and derogatory. One should keep in mind that the plan offers 3G data to the users in most cases. The voice calls through the pack are limited to 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week, identical to other "unlimited" packs. Well, Vodafone too has launched two new tariff plans for its prepaid customers that are priced at ₹151 and ₹158. Idea Cellular is also offering 1GB 3G/4G data. There is total 2GB data with high-speed and after the usage of 2GB data there is unlimited data but with low speed. While Idea Cellular is giving just half validity as compared to Airtel and Jio.
