Light snow, rain showers in MA forecast this weekend

The high temperature will be right around the freezing mark of 32.

Mostly clear, with a low around 20.

Snow continues to fall in northwest in, while freezing rain and sleet is forecast for northeast in, along with light snow.

The flood watch begins 6 p.m. Saturday and will run through Sunday evening.

On Sunday, the sun will rise at 7:29 a.m. and set at 6:00:20 p.m. - the first time that has occurred in the 6 o'clock hour since November 4, the day before the time change.

That mix of sleet and freezing rain is expected to be gone by midday, said National Weather Service meteorologist Jordan Dale. Cloudy, with a high near 33. North wind 9 to 11 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 70%. There is also the chance for some freezing drizzle developing late Friday night.

Monday: Mostly sunny, high of 56 and north winds moving 5 to 10 miles per hour and becoming east in the afternoon; mostly cloudy, low of 46 and east southeast winds moving 5 miles per hour at night. Southwest winds 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Northeastern Indiana slowed down this weekend as snow continued to fall over slick accumulations on the roads.

Precipitation may change to all snow by 2 a.m., according to the weather service.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, breezy and warmer still Southwest winds 15 to 25 miles per hour. A couple tenths of an inch is possible in an area north of a line from Terre Haute to Indianapolis to New Castle to south of a line from Veedersburg to Tipton to Hartford City.

For Wichita, just expect continued cold temperatures and breezy winds for the rest of the night, with some flurries moving through late and exiting tomorrow morning.
