Madrid, and other top prospective suitors, will no doubt test Liverpool's resolve by summer, but a final decision could be down to Salah - the new "King of the Kop".

Mohamed Salah has revealed that he misses his former teammate and friend, Philippe Coutinho, after he switched to Barcelona.

Following his blistering form this season, he's been linked with a move away from Anfield.

Although these words will be encouraging to the club's supporters - especially given recent murmurings of Real Madrid being interested in signing him - not everyone appears to be buying it. "I made a decision to come here and I think it was a good choice", Salah added.

"At the moment I am here", Salah told Marca via Goal. "I was comfortable at Roma, I had two great seasons there and I was very happy, but I've always been the sort of guy who takes a chance, to put myself under pressure".

Whilst reports are changing on a daily basis in English and Spanish press regarding proposed interest from the Santiago Bernabeu, Salah has issued a response. To anyone you ask, I would say wow! "It makes me really happy that any of them talk about me".

"The boss has given me the chance to improve and show the world my football - that made up my mind to come", says Salah.

Does Salah follow La Liga? She's as passionate about the game as I am.

"I watch some games, not always, as sometimes it coincides with Liverpool games", he said.

"Last year I did well at Roma but this year I am scoring more goals".
