"We've also deputed teams to assess the loss to properties and livestock in the Pakistani firing in the district", said Rajouri's Deputy Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India] Feb.06 (ANI): Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday called for dialogue to resolve the issue of ceasefire violations.

Speaking at an election rally at Barjala in Agartala of poll-bound Tripura, the Home Minister said, "I have given standing orders to our forces to shoot limitless bullets to retaliate a single fire on our territory by the Pakistani forces".

"The Indian Army will respond when the time is right and it will be a fitting response to Pakistan, just as the surgical strikes were carried out without any prior knowledge of the event", home minister Rajnath Singh warned after Sunday's ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

It may be recalled that four Army personnel including a Captain were martyred on Sunday in ceasefire violation by Pakistan. "And one of the shells landed near the officer and his men, leading to the casualties".

Each said their forces returned fire only in retaliation. "If the current level of tension continues, soon the ceasefire violations may overtake the 2017 figures", they said. "We will not forgive Pakistan's actions", Ahir told reporters here ahead of Parliament's Budget Session.

Havildar Roshan Lal, 42, a resident of Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, Riflemen Ramavatar, 27, of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and Subham Singh, 23, of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district were also killed in the shelling.

According to details gathered from the local authorities, the Indian firing hit forward areas close to this side of the LoC in Nezapir and Rawalakot.

Opposition National Conference and ruling BJP Monday staged protests in the assembly on the continuous cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC).
