Though there is no other tangible evidence to prove its authenticity, the release is in line with previous release pattern.

A noticeable design change will be a redesign of the fingerprint scanner which was awkwardly positioned on Galaxy S8. Until we know exactly what the phone will bring to the table, it's impossible to declare if the Galaxy S9 is an "iPhone X Killer", but based off of what we know about both phones, we can warrant a guess.

Samsung Galaxy S9 - Leaked photos, concept images, and renders Fri, September 22, 2017 SAMSUNG is widely-tipped to launch its new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ handsets at the CES expo in January 2018.

The regular S9 will reportedly have a single 12-megapixel rear camera that can capture "super slow-mo" video and switch between f/2.4 and f/1.5 aperture. Like the last generation devices, the Galaxy S9 and the S9+ will sport a 5.8-inch QHD+ and 6.2-inch QHD+ displays.

But while the Galaxy S9 will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, the Galaxy S9+ will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. "Redefined.", the confirming that the device's marquee feature will be photography. Definitely an interesting proposition and based on their previous track record, Samsung is one of the best manufacturers to make a 1.5f aperture camera phone work. The former will allow the camera to absorb more light during indoor or dark conditions, while the latter can be used during bright sunny conditions.

One company using the event for its announcement will be Samsung, which has already sent out invitations for its next "Unpacked" showcase, and the expecation for the show is "The camera reimagined", something the teaser images suggests wrapping the phrase in a nine. Above them, incidentally, located the camera of 8 MP for selfies.
