The device has a finless design, a battery life of up to 12 hours' use and supports Google Play. Alternate Spin 11 models will ship with an optional Wacom stylus and an outward-facing camera.

Acer reveals its new Chromebook called Spin 11, a convertible device that sports a 360-degree hinge and two USB-C ports.

Acer has announced the Chromebook Spin 11, Chromebook 11 C732, and Chromebox CXI3. However, it has a much lower starting price at $349 (PixelBooks start at $999) to reflect the lower end hardware inside-like other recent Chromebooks that have emerged, the Chromebook Spin 11 leverages Intel's Apollo Lake Pentium and Celeron processor options, including the dual-core Celerong N3350, quad-core Celeron N3450, and quad-core Pentium N4200.

Now, no-one's going to mistake the Chromebook Spin 11 for a MacBook. "It also adheres to MIL-STD 810F for sand and dust intrusion protection", says Acer. However, the new device will be available to general consumers. The laptop is fitted with an 11.6-inch IPS display with the screen resolution of 1366×768.

Acer's other new Chrome OS laptop is also an exciting affair. The device offers connectivity options through a USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 port, five USB Type-A ports supporting USB 3.1, a USB 2.0, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Wirelessly connectivity options on the Chromebox CX include, 132×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.

Acer may already be the champion of Chromebook diversity, selling more models through both consumer and education channels than we're willing to count right now, and unveiling another 11-inch version at CES earlier this month ahead of U.S. commercial availability in April. It will be available in March.

The new design of the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 features a sleek silver cross-hairline pattern on the top cover. It will go on sale in March. It also comes with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4 memory and either 32GB or 64GB on-board eMMC storage. There are three processor options too, which are listed below. Many Chromebook customers store their files on Google Drive (3) which protects files, documents, and photos safely in the cloud, and ensures that the most current version of the file or document is always available and safe, even if the Chromebook is lost or stolen. This Chromebox uses eighth-generation Intel Core processors, for business-friendly performance. Also included is 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless and Bluetooth 4.2. You can easily hide it anywhere, thanks to the VESA mounting kit. It also has two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C ports, along with 2 USB 3.0 Type-A ports for connectivity. We should hopefully have more details about this little computer soon, so stay tuned.
