It's not a surprise, Jacob Eason is transferring out of Georgia.

Sophomore quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs, Jacob Eason, is expected to transfer to the University of Washington.

With Fromm at the helm, Georgia fell 26-23 in overtime to Alabama in the national title game.

Saturday night was likely the last time Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm wear the same Georgia uniform.

No, K.J. Carta-Samuels won't be around anymore, not even for his final season of eligibility in 2018, as he has made a decision to transfer but Eason will be the next in line.

While Eason has not confirmed whether he will transfer or not, he is clearly contemplating a change.

With KJ Carta-Samuels transferring away from Washington, Sirmon, Yankoff, and Haener will battle for the backup spot this season. "I will miss suiting up in red and black, but Athens will always be a place I can call home", Eason wrote, singing it with his Twitter handle, Skinnyqb. Huskies quarterback Jake Browning is in his final season so Eason has a chance to start when he becomes eligible in 2019.

But when he sprained his knee against Appalachian State, Fromm did such a good job replacing him that by the time Eason was cleared to return after missing three full games, Fromm remained the starter.

"That's football", Eason said in December. Jake Fromm played extremely efficiently and eventually led the team to a national championship. He handled the 2017 season with a on of class.

Eason, a former five-star recruit from Lake Stevens, Washington, committed to Georgia in 2016 and started his true freshman season, throwing for 2,430 yards and 16 touchdowns. "I'm going to do whatever for this team, this program and do anything I can to help them out".

I think we all knew it would come to this.
