We can't wait to see how Princess Charlotte continues takes after Her Majesty as she grows up.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have celebrated Princess Charlotte's first day at nursery by sharing photographs of the adorable two-year-old on her first day at the school. She has a scarf around her neck and appears to have a rucksack on her back.

The leather Mary Jane style featuring a rubber sole and buckle closure from Doña Carmen perfectly pulled together the little royal's outfit for the special occasion. Kensington Palace wrote in a statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning".

The images were taken by Charlotte's mother, the former Kate Middleton, shortly before she left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School, a private school in west London.

It encourages "high standards, excellence and good manners" and has an all-female teaching staff.

And just like that, the adorable princess is officially a student at Willcocks Nursery School, which is housed in a church hall.

Charlotte wrapped up warm for her big day in a burgundy double-breasted wool coat by Amaia Kids, which is priced at £120.00, and is now still in stock, unlike the grey version - which is completely sold out.

George, 4, started at St. Thomas's Battersea School in September.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace added: 'They felt it was ideal as a first step for Princess Charlotte's early education and they were impressed by the team that work there'.
