Mariah Carey said after performing a song on the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve stage Sunday night. It appears that pre-show soundcheck worked.

The show will include five and a half hours of performances - including one by Britney Spears, who will perform from her residency stage in the Axis at Planet Hollywood - and reports on New Year's celebrations from coast to coast and around the world. Fans saw her performance as a redemption from last year's show, tarnished by technical difficulties when equipment malfunctioned during Carey's performance of her 1991 hit "Emotions".

Mariah Carey performs during New Year's Eve 2017 in Times Square, Dec. 31, 2016 in New York City.

"They told me there would be tea!" "Oh, it's a disaster". After, there was an awkward moment where she said something about hot tea and that she would rough it without her hot tea.

Mariah Carey's 2018 got off to a much better start than her 2017 did. While at least she got through this year without a major meltdown like last year, the final result still isn't great. After finishing "Vision of Love", Carey hinted that a part of her stage setting was missing.

Whether or not Carey will be able to prove she has the chops she says she does or not remains to be seen, but we can bet it something spectacular, one way or another, will be seen and by millions and millions of people.

Mariah then belted out her iconic track Hero to the delight of the crowd.

She later performed Toxic from the Axis Theater.

But all was forgotten this time around: "I'm feeling a lot than past year, when I had to get my own police escort", Carey told Seacrest after he congratulated her on the broadcast.
