Russell Simmons is facing new accusations of sexual misconduct-including rape-from nine women just weeks after he stepped away from his businesses following other accusations of sexual assault.

The three women who spoke to The Times said they chose to come forward with their accusations after Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was accused of serial sexual harassment and assault over decades.

Producer Russell Simmons take part in an "I am Muslim Too" rally in Times Square Manhattan.

Toni Sallie alleged that Simmons raped her in 1988 at his apartment.

Lumet said she went public after model Keri Claussen Khalighi said Simmons coerced her to perform a sex act and later penetrated her without her consent in his NY apartment in 1991.

Dixon states Simmons raped her at his Manhattan apartment in 1995.

The last thing she remembers is Simmons pinning her down and kissing her.

Simmons, 60, denied the allegations, saying in a statement provided to NBC News on Wednesday: "These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core and all of my relations have been consensual".

On November 23, Simmons had denied the allegations made by the women earlier.

Syracuse native Kelly Cutrone says Russell Simmons tried to rape her

Sherri Hines, who performed under the stage name Sheri Sher in the '80s, said Simmons invited her to see his NY office and raped her there.

"He pushed me on the bed and jumped on top of me, and physically attacked me", Sallie told the Times. The women went on the record, describing what the Times characterized as a pattern of sexual harassment and assault over a period ranging from 1988 to as recently as 2014. Moore said that Simmons misled her, taking her to his room instead of a bar at Soho Beach House where her friends were waiting. Actress Natashia Williams-Blach told the LA Times Russell attempted to force her to perform oral sex, but she managed to extricate herself from the situation.

While The New York Times' piece focused more on Simmons' alleged misconduct in his role as a music executive, the Los Angeles Times looked into claims that Simmons abused his power as the head of his West Hollywood yoga studio, Tantris.

"I have accepted that I can and should get dirt on my sleeves if it means witnessing the birth of a new consciousness about women". She also alleged that she met Simmons again about a year later at a hotel in Florida, and that he grabbed her hair and chased her into the bathroom.

She said he raped her. It was something that had a massive effect on her career. He pushed himself on her and she blacked out as he raped her, she said, even though she hadn't been drinking that night. He raped her, said Sallie.

Through his lawyer, Simmons said he had "no recollection of ever having any sexual relations with Ms. Baker". Lumet came forward with her story after Simmons denied Khalighi's accusation.

Simmons gave a statement to the L.A. Times echoing the one posted on Instagram: "These new stories range from patently untrue to frivolous and hurtful claims". She left the company soon after. "What I will not accept is responsibility for what I have not done".

In a statement, Smiley vehemently denied any misconduct and accused PBS of conducting "a biased and sloppy investigation, which led to a rush to judgment, and trampling on a reputation that I have spent an entire lifetime trying to establish". At that time he apologized for being "thoughtless and insensitive". Although I have been candid about how I have lived in books and interviews detailing my flaws, I will relentlessly fight against any untruthful character assassination that paints me as a man of violence.
