The 25-year-old has scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have managed between them in their league and European outings.

The Egyptian ace has already netted 19 goals in all competitions so far this season and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma are about to receive a bonus linked with the transfer of the Egyptian.

"I would like to thank my Liverpool team-mates and I also had a good season with Roma so I have to thank my team-mates there and my team-mates in the national team", Salah added.

Patrick Schick has only just come back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, while youngster Cengiz Under doesn't appear to be quite ready for the role yet, used extremely sporadically by Eusebio di Francesco.

Salah and Liverpool will play West Brom at 9am Thursday in the English Premier League.

And the more he scores, the more frustrating it's going to be for Roma.

"You feel like you've done something important that year, so I'm very pleased, and I want to win the award next year as well'" Salah added.

He also helped his country secure a ticket to the world after nearly 20 years of absence.

"I have to thank everyone, my team-mates, the people I work with". Mohamed Salah is really good.

And Salah has revealed his aim to be the best player to come out of the north African country.

"I always follow my own way and I want everyone in Egypt to follow my way", Salah went on to tell the BBC.
