Soul Calibur VI is coming to PC via Steam and the PS4 as well as Xbox consoles in 2018. Yesterday during the Game Awards, Bandai Namco revealed Soul Calibur 6. You can see by its trailers that the weapon effects, with the help of the games new graphics, offer a whole new level of immersion. It marks nearly 20 years since the game originally came out on the arcades back in 1998. According to Bandai Namco, it will "revisit the events of the original Soulcalibur to uncover hidden truths with a diverse lineup of new and returning characters". Our arena was our playground and there was no better time to do so as players created their characters, customized their characters, and even their fighting styles.

An announcement for the follow-up to 2012's Soul Calibur V should come as no surprise after rumors started stirring up a couple of weeks ago.

It'll also be interesting to see whether the new sequel takes advantage of the series' reputation for great single-player content, something which more recent games have consistently failed to do. It failed to reach the highs of previous entries and - in an odd twist - was set 17 years after Soul Calibur 4 and focused on the children of some of the franchise's best-known fighters.
