Bayonetta 1 and 2 will both release for Switch on February 16 digitally and at retail.

The reveal happened during the Game Awards when Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime appeared on stage and introduced a short teaser.

The trailer itself doesn't show off much and includes a disclaimer in the beginning that what you are seeing is not actual gameplay footage.

With Xenoblade Chronicles 2 now out, we have come to the end of Nintendo's first-year roster of exclusive games for the Switch.

Platinum Games has announced that it's once more working with Nintendo and that a Bayonetta 3 is in development exclusively for the Switch.

While Bayonetta 3 might be some way off, Switch owners will be able to get some kick-ass witch action early in 2018 when Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 release for the console. Not to mention one of the best games Platinum has ever released.

Bayonetta 3 isn't the only part of the series to make a new home on the Switch, however. Bayonetta 2 comes on the game card, while Bayonetta is included as a digital download.

"Bayonetta" was a smash hit when it was released in 2009 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 with many praising its stunning visuals as well as its combat system. Not only that, but the original Bayonetta was also ported to the Wii U, so the character has shown a lot of signs of being in Nintendo's good graces.

So for the fans and gamers it's once again a pleasing time to dig into these games with all new adventures waiting to be explored.
