"Huawei's consumer mobile services in Africa will include an APP store for locally developed games, music, movies, books and other content; we are also planning to launch African themes and cloud storage", says Cobe Li, Huawei Cooperation and Alliance Director of Consumer Cloud Service Dept, Southern Africa. While virtual reality remains locked to a niche audience, Apple opening up the flood gates with iOS 11 and a plenty of AR apps and games for new and recent iOS-powered devices surely seem to have increased the adoption of AR as a practical and everyday technology. The most downloaded apps include Bitmoji, Snapchat, YouTube, Messenger, Instagram and Facebook.

As in previous years, the company's App Store editors have selected the best apps and games of the year for every software platform - iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Super Mario Run was the most popular free game of 2017, while Heads Up and Minecraft were recognized as the most popular paid ones.

To make the classification of what its App Store users loved the most this year, Apple divided these into 4 major trends.

If you want to see the full lists, just load up iTunes or the App Store and you'll see it all on the front page.

This year, Apple has also introduced a new year-end section for the "trends of the year".

Drake's More Life was the No. 1 album of the year, Apple said, while Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" was the most listened-to song. Taylor Swift's album "reputation" has already shot up to #3 on the 2017 United States top album charts, despite having only been available for a short period of time.

For movies, the top film was Moana followed by the Stars Was instalment Rogue One. Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead were the top TV shows of the year while NPR's Fresh Air was the most downloaded podcast.
