In case you weren't aware, we're very excited for the release of the fourth season of Black Mirror.

The popular series, which won an Emmy previous year in television movie and television movie writing for the "San Junipero" episode, will return with six brand new episodes.

Black Mirror season 4 premieres this year after all.

Netflix took over the series from Britain's Channel 4 back in Season 3, and have been elusive as far as divulging information surrounding the six upcoming episodes. Episodes are stand-alone but tend to be set in an alternate reality or in the near future. With such wide-ranging scope (including the technological and psychological paranoia fans have come to expect from the show), this season is sure to have something to pique the interest of nearly all sci-fi enthusiasts this holiday season.

Netflix has also given some details about each episode, releasing a short individual teaser to go with each one.

Alongside the release date announcement, Netflix revealed a trailer featuring clips from each of the episodes.

Publicly displayed memories are the basis of "Crocodile".

All episodes to date are available to watch on the streaming service.

Black Museum - If it did something bad, chances are it's in here.

"Hang the DJ" follows two characters who live in a world where everyone is paired up using an advanced dating system. "Black Museum" is directed by Colm McCarthy. Despite the technology, it's one of the more humanist episodes.

Finally, here's the full-season trailer, which combines footage from all six new episodes into a definitive statement about Black Mirror itself: happiness is fleeting, the world is scary, but everything happens for a reason.
