The Onslow County Sheriff's Office released surveillance photos early Wednesday showing a woman with a child at a Walmart in Morehead City on Monday morning and asking the public to help determine whether the child may be Mariah.

Authorities said Saturday afternoon it was with "deep sadness" that they believed a missing 3-year-old North Carolina girl was dead. Arrest warrants say Kimrey moved Mariah Woods' body from where she died, knowing her death was not natural.

Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller talked during a news conference about Mariah Woods, who vanished November 27 from her home on High Hill Road. He is charged with concealing of death, obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen property.

He was being held in the Onslow County Detention Center with bail set at $1,010,000.

According to another local station, the district attorney's office has been consulted on the current charges and additional charges could be pending as the investigation continues.

"Due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is believed that Mariah is deceased", the sheriff's office said.

Hundreds of volunteers have come to eastern North Carolina to look for the girl. "This is my world, this is my angel", she said.

An Amber Alert was issued Sunday, when Mariah was last seen around 11 p.m.

The FBI says they have been sending "items of interest" to their lab in Quantico, Virginia, for priority testing in the case.

On Thursday, Miller called on civilians to join law enforcement officers in the land and air search for the toddler.

Also, FBI agents searched a landfill. "Someone just walked right up in there, grabbed the 3-year-old out of the bed and she didn't cry, she didn't scream?"

'Nobody heard anything? Four people in the house, two adults and two kids, someone just comes up and snatches the baby and walks out?', Alex Woods said. Woods said her boyfriend, Kimrey, also checked on her around midnight.

A missing 3-year-old North Carolina girl is believed to be dead and her mother's live-in boyfriend faces charges in connection with her disappearance, authorities said.

Mariah Woods is described as a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, about 2-foot-9 weighing about 30 pounds. Please just bring her back safe and sound - she's my baby, she's my everything'. The missing child's case has shifted to a homicide case.
