Chelsea beat Azerbaijan's Qarabag 4-0 on Wednesday to qualify from Champions League Group C and returned to London on Thursday after a 2,500-mile flight from Baku.

The Chelsea boss said: "It was a lot of wind and we tried to land the first time but it wasn't possible for this reason".

"The captain tried again & the second time it was positive".

His form in Italy, firstly in Florence and then with Roma, convinced Liverpool to part with a club-record £36.9m to finally bring the former Basel man to Mersey side - and so far he has flourished, scoring 14 goals in his first 19 games to become an instant Anfield hero.

"If he would've played already better at Chelsea, we would not have him probably in this moment, so I'm happy about the situation".

"It wasn't a good result, we nearly felt like we do after a defeat", Coutinho was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

"You have to judge two different situations", he said.

"He's very good to finish".

"We must pay great attention tomorrow".

"It wasn't a good result, we nearly felt like we do after a defeat", the Brazil global told Liverpool's official website.

But Klopp, whose Liverpool side host Chelsea on Saturday, feels a number of factors have contributed to the Blues' league position - which is one he thinks Conte would have expected. He is a technical player but at the same time very fast and strong, good in one vs. ones and also very good to finish.

'We must pay great attention but not only to Salah, but to [Sadio] Mane, [Roberto] Firmino, [Philippe] Coutinho, [Daniel] Sturridge.

"(Salah) could be (the best) - he's still young and he's playing with such a great team in Liverpool", Lauren said.

He said: "I think we like to live the game with intensity and passion and to be on the touchline to help our players".

"To pass that is hard, but we'll see".
