During its presentation of the OnePlus 5T, the company was open about the mistakes it has made, so it comes as little surprise that the firm isn't making the same mistake with the display this go-around. One of the drawbacks of the phone is that OnePlus 5T is not water and dust resistance.

OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus 5T, its second flagship smartphone in less than six months.

When it comes to the price, OnePlus is offering the 5T in line with that of the OnePlus 5 - £449 in the United Kingdom for the 6GB RAM 64GB variant, £499 for the 8GB/128GB model.

The device also comes with face-unlocking feature, similar to Apple's face ID for security objective apart from fingerprint sensor. One feature that is new is the facial recognition. The device is an improvement on the OnePlus 5, which was only launched in June.

If you can't stomach the $1,000 price tag of the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X, OnePlus' six-inch OLED 5T with dual cameras could be worth checking out.

The knock-on effect of this move is that the phone no longer has capacitive buttons for home and recent apps on the front of the phone below the screen.

The OnePlus 5T runs Android Nougat, but the firm is promising a speedy upgrade to Google's newer Oreo software. In this section, the OnePlus 5T has something extra to offer, with its 8GB of RAM variant. However, low light conditions may make the Face ID a drag as compared to finger print scanners, but that nowhere takes away from the fact that Face ID is the future in terms of technology.

Even though the OnePlus 5T still features a dual-lens setup on the back, OnePlus dropped the dedicated zoom lens in favor of a dedicated low-light lens. Apart from this, OnePlus claims to have improved "portrait" shots on the phone through software enhancements.

The iPhone X, on the other hand features two 12-megapixel rear cameras - one wide-angle, and another telephoto.

The front camera is identical to the OnePlus 5, which boasts a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor of 1-micron pixel size and an aperture of f/2.0.

The battery capacity is kept the same at 3300 mAh and there is the Dash Charge support that gives about a day's usage with just 30 minutes charge.
