Chelsea Fantasy Fan View v West Brom

TONY PULIS has warned West Brom to sack him at their peril.

In a season that has already seen four managerial casualties, under-pressure boss Tony Pulis could join them, after reportedly being given just two games left to save his job at struggling West Brom.

Pulis told the media on Friday: "Last year we were one result worse off than we are this year (at this stage)".

"We know it'll be a tough game but it'll be a good game. Speaking to him, he feels a little bit better and a little bit stronger and he's done extra work with the fitness coaches". People tell me we're this, that and the other. If the club decide what they decide, I've got great respect for the football club, the supporters, the chairman, the board - it's just life.

Asked if Albion should be careful what they wished for, Pulis, 59, said: "You want me to pick the next manager?"

The feeling within The Hawthorns is that Pulis could be on the brink if there is more of the same disquiet - in particular in the stands - at home against Chelsea on Saturday, when Guochuan Lai, the club's owner, will be looking on from the directors' box after arriving from China for a visit that was scheduled six weeks ago but now feels rather timely. Look at the league, there are four or five teams who have scored fewer goals than us.

"Chelsea have won nine of their last 11 away league games and they need to keep picking up maximum points and hope that leaders Manchester City slip-up". The manager also defended his record, pointing out that he had guided West Brom to a 10th-place finish last season.

"Since I've been here, this club has been nowhere near getting relegated".

West Bromwich Albion have been dealt a huge blow with the news that Nacer Chadli has been ruled out of action for the foreseeable future. "The most important thing is the football club".

However, the Blues do come into the game off the back of three successive league wins and could move from fourth to second by bagging three points. "If you don't get results, then you are under pressure".
