More Sunshine, Warmer Monday

That's the next chance for rain in our area, but doesn't look like it will amount to all that much. Highs in the low 70s under partly sunny skies.

Today: It's going to be a cloudy and cool day today with high temperatures only climbing up near 45 degrees for the high. A weak backdoor cold front will begin to edge in over the northeast but will have only minor affects on our weather. Friday, a few showers will also be possible, with a rain chance around 30%.

But despite the warm temperatures, the record in Denver is 75 degrees - set back in 1999, so we won't come close to that.

FRIDAY NIGHT/SATURDAY: Models indicate a more dynamic system towards the end of the week, but differ slightly on timing.

A strong cold front will move through Saturday triggering showers and strong gusty winds. For now, I'm leaning with the Euro solution which brings in the bulk of the rain on Saturday.

Overnight will be cooling off a bit more than this morning.

Highs on Monday will be in the lower to middle 60s. The sunshine will help high temperatures warm back into the 50's.
