Nokia 5 with 3GB RAM now available in India

However, HMD Global on Monday declared a brand new 3GB RAM variant of the smartphone for everyone. The sale of Nokia 5 with 3GB RAM will start from November 7.

The price of 3GB RAM variant of Nokia 5 is Rs.13,499. the smartphone is Flipkart Exclusive and can only be purchased from Flipkart. Apart from the upgraded RAM, everything else remains the same. The handset will be made available via retail outlets across India after November 14. The Nokia 5 will available in four colours - Matte Black and Tempered Blue.

Recollecting some key specifications, the Nokia 5 comes equipped with a 5.2-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a scratch resistance 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top of the display. The first variant of the smartphone did offer only 2GB of RAM onboard, along with the 16GB internal storage.

Nokia 5 runs on Android 7 Nougat.


HMD Global launched the Nokia 5 in the month of June in India and the phone is available to buy in the month of August. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that should give at least a day-long battery life.

Xiaomi Redmi Note is priced at Rs 12,999 for the highest variant - 4GB RAM+64GB storage - while the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage costs Rs 9,999, and 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant costs Rs 10,999 (all models expandable up to128GB via microSD card). "Now we have added more memory so fans can get enhanced performance in the same precision engineered design". On the front, the Nokia 5 3GB RAM will have an 8MP f/2.0 aperture sensor with support for the 84-degree field of view and autofocus.

Nokia 5 on the connectivity side, supports Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio, 2G/3G/4G, Wi-Fi with a certain bunch of sensors including gyro, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and Global Positioning System.
