Ravens won't believe Derek Carr's out until he's officially inactive

The Ravens have been pitiful on offense this season, so this one could be a game where the winning team struggles to hit 20 points.

So what do the Ravens make of Carr's situation?

Carr will be out at 2-6 weeks after suffering a transverse process fracture in his back during the Raiders (2-2) loss to Denver in Week 4. "I trust him, I believe in him, and we need to roll".

"I'm not going to really talk about injuries", Del Rio said, "and what we may and may not do or who we may or may not play or when and all that kind of stuff, when we're going to utilize people". EJ Manuel is expected to start against the Ravens.

The Raiders lost on the road to both the Redskins and Broncos, the latter coming by just six points despite quarterback Derek Carr leaving early due to injury.

"I'll wait to fully commit", Weddle said. That diagnosis changed, though Carr was already practicing again Thursday.

Manuel entered this season with a career completion rate of 58.3 percent with almost as many interceptions (16) as touchdown passes (19). Since then, Lynch and the running game have been quiet, averaging 2 yards a carry in the previous two weeks. The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback has seven touchdowns and one interception for a 110.6 passer rating.

"Derek Carr is Derek Carr", linebacker Terrell Suggs said. In 2015, Oakland beat the Ravens 37-33 at the Oakland Coliseum. The bigger factor in that game was Joe Flacco's career-worst five interceptions. "He has definitely come into his own, but EJ Manuel has also been an National Football League quarterback, and I think the last time we played him, they beat us", veteran linebacker Terrell Suggs said. Joe Flacco has struggled to get the passing game going and will have another hard time staying upright in the pocket this week.

Taking those two carries into account, West has 138 yards on 23 carries through four-plus games this season.
